Abstract
U ovom završnom radu opisana su četiri procesa kojima se emitiraju elektroni iz metalnih površina: fotoemisija, termoelektronska emisija, sekundarna emisija i emisija električnim poljem. Emisija elektrona je pojava kojom se oslobađaju elektroni iz metala. Ako emisija elektrona nastaje zbog svjetlosnog udara na površinu metala tada govorimo o fotoemisiji. Termoelektronska emisija označava pojavu emitiranja elektrona iz metala uslijed zagrijavanja uzorka. Do sekundarne emisije elektrona dolazi kada se neki čvrsti materijal izloži bombardiranju čestica kao što su elektroni ili ioni. Još jedan način na koji možemo dobiti elektrone je emisija električnim poljem.
Abstract (english)
This thesis describes four processes by which electrons are emitted from metal surfaces: photoemission, thermionic emission, secondary emission and electric field emission. Electron emission is a phenomenon in which electrons are released from metals. If the emission of an electron occurs due to a light impact on the surface of a metal, then we are talking about photoemission. Thermionic emission denotes the occurrence of electron emission from a metal due to heating of a sample. Secondary emission occures when a solid material is exposed to a bombardment of particles such as electrons or ions. Another way we can get emit electrons is with electric field emission.
