Abstract
Uz pomoć današnje računalne tehnologije mogu se proučavati brojni materijali prije njihove fizičke ili kemijske sinteze. U ovom radu proučava se perovskitna heterostruktura cinkovog oksida i barijevog titanata s morfologijom vrlo tankog filma (planarna morfologija). Proučava se utjecaj dodavanja atomskih slojeva pojedinog materijala na strukturna i elektronska svojstva heterostrukture. Kako su oba materijala poluvodiči, zanima nas što se događa s energijskim nivoima elektrona kada dodajemo više atomskih slojeva, odnosno konkretno što se događa sa energijskim procijepom između elektronskih vrpci. Želimo li korišteni spoj koristiti kao učinkovito rješenje za solarne ćelije, ključno je predvidjeti i razumjeti promjene u procijepu između kao i ponašanje vrpci u blizini procijepa
Abstract (english)
With the help of today’s computer technology, many materials can be studied before their physical or chemical synthesis. In this paper, the perovskite heterostructure of zinc oxide and barium titanate with very thin film morphology (planar morphology) is studied. The influence of the addition of atomic layers of an individual material on the structural and electronic properties of a heterostructure is studied. As both materials are semiconductors, we are interested in what happens to the energy levels of electrons when we add more atomic layers, or specifically what happens to the energy gap between electron bands. If we want to use the compound used as an effective solution for solar cells, it is crucial to predict and understand the changes in the gap between as well as the behaviour of the bands near the gap.
